Qizugo (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the Qizugo mobile application.

1. Overview

Qizugo is a travel planning and memory-keeping application that allows users to:

  • create itineraries and optimize routes

  • save locations and places

  • store personal travel memories

  • synchronize data across devices

  • purchase credits or premium features (optional)

We collect and process only the data necessary to provide these features.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in using email or Google Sign-In, we may collect:

  • User ID (UID)

  • Name (if provided)

  • Email address

  • Profile photo (optional)

Purpose: authentication, account identification, synchronization, and account-related features.
 

2.2 User-Generated Content

We store the data you create within the app, including:

  • Travel itineraries

  • Saved places and routes

  • Memories (text, photos, emotion tags)

  • Notes and descriptions

  • Location coordinates you choose to save

Purpose: core functionality of the application.
 

2.3 Location Data

If you grant location permission, we may access:

  • Precise device location (foreground use only)

Used for:

  • centering the map on your current position

  • suggesting nearby places

  • route optimization

Location data is:

  • not collected in the background

  • not continuously tracked

  • not shared with other users
     

2.4 Technical and Usage Data

We may collect limited technical information, including:

  • App version

  • Device type

  • Crash logs and diagnostics

  • Anonymous performance metrics

Purpose: improving app stability, reliability, and performance.

2.5 Billing and Purchase Data

If you purchase credits or subscriptions:

  • Product identifiers

  • Purchase tokens

  • Purchase status

Payment information (such as card details) is not collected or stored by Qizugo.
All payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data solely to:

  • provide core app functionality

  • store and synchronize your data across devices

  • restore data after login or reinstall

  • optimize routes and itineraries

  • manage credits and premium features

  • maintain app performance and reliability

  • detect and prevent misuse

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
 

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Storage Locations

Your data may be stored using the following services:

  • Firebase Authentication – user authentication

  • Supabase (PostgreSQL) – user data, itineraries, memories, backups

  • Local device storage (Room database) – offline access

  • Google Play Billing – purchase validation

  • Crash reporting tools – anonymized diagnostics
     

4.2 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including:

  • encrypted network communication (HTTPS)

  • token-based authentication (JWT)

  • row-level security (RLS) on backend systems

  • restricted access to backend services

  • secure handling of API keys and tokens

  • removal or masking of sensitive data from logs
     

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted third-party services required for app functionality:

7. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

  • Use the “Delete Account” option within the app

  • Account information

  • Itineraries

  • Memories and images

  • Saved locations and routes

  • Backup data

  • Credits and premium status
     

Retention after deletion

  • Data is permanently deleted within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 7 days)

  • Certain transaction records may be retained for legal or accounting obligations
     

8. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions for purposes:

Location: Map positioning, nearby places, routing

Internet: Data sync, maps, APIs

Storage / Photos: Saving and displaying images

Billing: Processing purchases

Permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through device settings.
 

9. Children’s Privacy

Qizugo is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us for removal.
 

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence.

Where required, appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
 

11. Your Rights (GDPR and Applicable Laws)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal data

  • correct inaccurate data

  • request deletion of your data

  • restrict or object to processing
